FAQ

Getting started

Do I need to be in shape before starting?

Not at all. Our job is to meet you wherever you are in your fitness journey. Whether you’re brand new to working out or returning after time away, we’ll help guide you forward. All you have to do is get yourself through the door—we’ll take it from there.

Most of our members started exactly where you are.

Is your gym beginner-friendly?

Absolutely. Every workout we program can be scaled to match your current fitness level. Our coaches are experienced in modifying movements based on your starting point, previous injuries, or any limitations you may have. With more than 50 years of combined coaching experience, our team is confident helping clients of all abilities train safely and effectively.

What if I haven’t worked out in years?

That’s completely okay. Many of our members start after taking time away from exercise. The hardest part is simply getting started, and our coaches will help you ease back into training at a pace that works for you.

What happens during my first visit?

Before your first session, one of our team members will reach out to welcome you and answer any questions. If you’re new to structured workouts, your first visit may begin with a one-on-one coaching session to help you learn the basics and feel confident before joining group classes.

What should I bring or wear?

Just bring yourself, a pair of gym shoes, and comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Wear comfortable workout clothes and supportive athletic shoes. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable moving during the session.

What if I can’t keep up with the class?

Our classes are not about competing with others. Everyone works at their own pace and fitness level. Workouts can be adjusted to meet you where you are, and our coaches will guide you through the session.

Classes & Coaching

How many people are in each class?

We limit our adult group classes to 15 members to maintain a strong coach-to-client ratio. This allows our coaches to provide guidance, monitor form, and support everyone in the room.

Will I get personal attention in group classes?

Yes. Our smaller class sizes allow coaches to provide individual feedback and support during workouts. That said, if you prefer fully dedicated one-on-one attention for the entire session, our personal training options may be a better fit.

Will coaches correct my form?

Yes. Our coaches are highly trained and actively monitor movement technique during workouts. Their priority is helping you move safely and effectively while building strength and confidence in each exercise.

How are workouts scaled for different fitness levels?

Scaling depends on the movement, the workout structure, and your individual needs. Our coaches adjust weights, repetitions, movements, and intensity to match your ability and goals. The most helpful thing you can do is communicate openly with our team so we can tailor the workout to your situation.

How long are classes?

All of our group training sessions are 60 minutes long.

What is HYROX training?

HYROX training prepares athletes for HYROX competitions, which combine functional strength exercises with endurance-based running intervals. Workouts often include movements like sled pushes, rowing, wall balls, and lunges paired with running segments to build strength, stamina, and overall work capacity.

Results & Benefits

How often should I come each week to see results?

Most members see great progress attending 2–3 sessions per week. Our programming is designed to support up to five workouts per week for those who want more training volume. While the gym is open seven days a week, classes are available Monday through Friday, so you’ll have plenty of flexibility to fit workouts into your schedule.

Is group training effective?

For many people, group training is extremely effective. The combination of structured programming, coaching guidance, and the accountability of training alongside others helps members stay consistent and push themselves further than they might on their own.

Is this better than working out on my own?

That depends on how you stay motivated. Many people find that having structured workouts, coaching support, and a strong community helps them stay more consistent and achieve better results than training alone.

Is functional training good for weight loss?

Yes. Functional training combines strength work and conditioning, which helps build muscle, increase metabolism, and burn calories. When paired with consistent attendance and healthy habits, it can be very effective for weight loss.

What if I’m over 50—is this still a good fit?

Absolutely. Strength and functional training become even more important as we age. Building and maintaining muscle now supports long-term mobility, independence, and overall health well into our later years.

Community & Experience

What makes your gym different from a traditional gym?

Our gym is built around three pillars of health: physical, social, and mental well-being. Every aspect of our programming and environment is designed to support those pillars. With more than 16 years in business, we have continually refined our approach to create sustainable programming and a welcoming environment for people of all fitness levels.

What kind of community do you have?

We are proud to have an incredibly supportive and welcoming community. Members encourage one another, celebrate progress together, and make the gym a place people genuinely enjoy coming to.

How do you help members stay accountable?

Accountability is one of the biggest advantages of training in our environment. Our coaches take the time to get to know you and your goals, and our structured classes help you stay consistent. Combined with a supportive community, you’ll have encouragement from both coaches and fellow members to keep showing up and making progress.

Why do members stay long-term?

Many people initially join for the workouts, but they stay because of the community. The relationships, accountability, and supportive environment keep members engaged and motivated over the long term.

Do you host challenges or events?

Yes. Throughout the year we host fitness challenges, community workouts, fundraisers, and other special events that bring members together both inside and outside the gym.

Membership & Scheduling

How much does membership cost?

Membership pricing depends on the type of training you choose. We offer several options, including group training, semi-private training, and personal training. One of our team members will connect with you to learn more about your goals and help determine the best membership option for your needs.

Do you offer different membership options?

Yes. We offer several membership options designed to meet different goals and preferences. These include adult group training, small group or semi-private training, and one-on-one personal training. Our goal is to help you find the option that best supports where you are in your fitness journey.

Is there a contract?

No. We do not require long-term contracts. Our memberships are designed to provide flexibility while helping you stay consistent with your training.

Do you offer punch cards or short-term options?

Yes. We offer punch cards for those who prefer a flexible option or who may not be able to attend regularly.

Do I need to sign up ahead of time for classes?

Yes. We ask members to reserve their class in advance so we can maintain appropriate class sizes and ensure the best coaching experience.

What happens if I miss a class?

If you know you can’t attend, we kindly ask that you cancel your reservation so another member can take your spot. We understand that life happens, and we appreciate your communication whenever possible.
